So much for my OOB build :-D

I'm not going over the top with the internal detail just some scrap card to give the impression of content.

What fun it was to scroll through this and see your amazing work on this missile system, Splash!

You'd never know there was copper tubes under the paint but for the prior photos, talk about some expert work!

Enjoying immensely,

Having got my curious head on ... see youve got 2 different looking bottles of tamiya liquid poly stuff ... is there any real major difference in them?

PS: Having given the driver (whoever he be) something to sit on, I trust you will give him some basic steering control. :grin:

Cheers I'm enjoying this build, I think using the supplied boosters would have worked, I just by chance had the right size copper tubes and felt like experimenting, as I find it hard to get the round section pipes round, when they come in two halves like Airfix supplied.

I just picked my jaw up off the floor! Amazing work there Splash. I feel bad for the two chaps with the 40mm rounds through the midsection. I'm sure the surgery will restore them to health.

I'm suprised that Airfix did not extend its range and issue a Army Thunderbird when they did the SAM-2. Also a Rapier set would have been nice.

Have you seen this Splash: https://www.aviationmegastore.com/?acti ... art=148585
GRAN also do some other missiles and have more planned. I could not find their web site but Henk has done a good job of detailing them here: http://henk.fox3000.com/gran.htm;

That Landy is looking top rate so far, can't wait to see it & the Bloodhound completed.

Splash,
I remember driving past RAF Wyton, some time after I had left 13(PR) Sqn, and there were Bloodhounds mounted on steel plinths on the west side - quite an impressive sight. The Bloodhound, I understand, was a bit of a sneaky missile - the target aircraft might see the launch and the missile streak upwards missing! The missile would peak at umptee thousand feet and return, unseen to take out the target aircraft - well that was the theory.

That's some excellent work, especially considering how small the subject is.

You've got some enviable skill, Splash!
