Beany's 1/32 Fw.190-D ...when two become one

Pre-1980 boxings of any kit, but preferably hard to obtain -- something that would make a collector cringe to see built.

Beany's 1/32 Fw.190-D ...when two become one

Post by beany »

By combining parts from both of these pre-loved identical boxings of the old Revell 1/32 Fw.190-D ~I have got one complete and unstarted model.
The kit is Revell #H-215 tooled in 1971 for this boxing, although Scalemates show it as being a 1970 Hasegawa tool originally.

I was tempted to do it last month as a Blitzbau but thought I'd spend a bit more time over this one, so maybe 3 or 4 days instead!

I'll see if I can get away with using the 40+ year old kit decals - should be interesting.

I think there are still enough parts to complete the second kit, but this came with vacform wings for a Ta.152 conversion, so I'll put that back in the stash for a while, until after SMW I expect.

Cheers

I think I have one of those plus a Hasegawa one I think, both in wretched salvage condition. But a 32nd scale Ta-152H sounds even better! If I could get my hands on a spinner I could restore maybe one of them.

One of the Fw.190s came with extras including a solid resin spinner and 3 individual prop blades, that to be honest look like far too much work for me so if you want them PM me your name and address and they're yours mate.

Looking forward to this ss it's not one I have seen built before.
Can't wait to see the TA152 when you get round to it too.

All the best.
