Tim's Matchbox Military Morris **Finished**
Thanks to Greg for allowing part started kits, as I'll be building the Matchbox Morris C8 with 17 pounder and Jeep. According to Scalemates it was first issued in 1977 and reissued by Revell in 2006.
When I bought it there had been some work done on the gun and the wheel centres on the Morris had been fitted to the tyres.
I remember building this when it first came out so this is a bit of a nostalgia build.

SWEET. I remember building this as a young one. Looking forward to the nostalgia trip. Though it may end up with me buying one
All the best.

I love the street scene display base, looks to be a kit in itself!

Re: Tim's Matchbox Military Morris
What with one thing and another I only got started a few days ago. The Morris and Jeep went together quickly though.
The last day or two have seen them painted Humbrol 86 with olive drab canvas and Revell Anthracite for the camouflage.
The gun carriage has been assembled and partially painted.
The walls of the building have been sprayed with desert sand and the brickwork painted with Humbrol 113 acrylic. Still more to do but not looking too bad so far.
More soon.

What a blast seeing one of these being built!
I saw this kit on the shelf many years ago and was drawn by the box art. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

I can remember building one of these for a Late War British wargames army in 1980. I'm watching this one with interest.

Re: Tim's Matchbox Military Morris
Thanks for the comments chaps.
A bit more work on the base, still a bit more to do.

Re: Tim's Matchbox Military Morris
Thanks guys. Assembly of the Jeep and Morris is done and the decals added. Despite what the instructions said I feel that the star on the Jeep should go on the Morris's roof and vice versa as it looks a bit too big.
Just the gun and a bit more work on the base left to do now.
