Inherit the Wind***Finished***
Re: Inherit the Wind
Finally have the painting all done. Masking all the bits was a real hassle. But now it is glossed and sitting on it's pegs.
It may be old but has a bit of life still in it. Kinda like me.
Letting the future set up good and the decaling will commence. The decal sheet is from Scalemasters and looks very sharp. But I will test one off the glossy sea blue scheme to make sure it works.

Very sharp, Jeff and I bet it's really going to look the part once the decals are on.

Re: Inherit the Wind***Finished***
I am calling this one done. It took much longer than anticipated due to the immense amount of masking to get all the colors in.
But I think it shows that these old kits can be made to look the part. I remember building this kit when first released, warts and all, in an afternoon. Things have sure changed. I am thinking of doing a Corsair in a similar scheme showing the end of it's career.
Thanks to those who followed along or just stopped by.

Those old Hawk kits surprise me! Boxed-in main wheel wells in a 50ies kit is special, or not?
I got an old boxing of Hawks Nieuport 17, that looks basic, but with box art ´n all, charming.

Waiting for the day, when wars for territory will be something to be read about in history books only.
