OT's Persian Recon Tiger

Pre-1980 boxings of any kit, but preferably hard to obtain -- something that would make a collector cringe to see built.

If it's any help, Ian, the brown and dark green are the same colours used in the SEA scheme. Tamiya buff looks to be a pretty close match for Tan Special, and after a few days in desert sunshine there's going to be a million shade variations anyway.
Very smart - just shows what can be done with a terrible old kit like the Hase F-5 if you put the hours in.
Overhead a rainbow appears...in black and white.

That's coming along nicely OT. I've had one of these in the stash for longer than I care to remember so it's been interesting seeing your build.

Camo applied but I'm not convinced, I think the green is wrong. I might start over.

I think that's some excellent paint work. I'd be right proud if it were mine.

Dude that looks great. In fact that is the scheme my PM Turkish F-5 should have had instead. That scheme rocks.

Thanks for the kind words guys but I decided to change things. The green was all wrong and there was too much over-spray.
Here is the state of play now after changing the green and applying a coat of Klear.

Not my best but will have to do.

Since this was taken I have painted a section of the rear fuselage Aluminium and started work on the wing tip nav lights.
I managed to break one of the very flimsy U\C legs too.

Tonight I'll get the underside painted then start the decalling process.
Time is running out but I may just get her done in time.

Starting to look very sharp. Nice work.

All the best.

That's a good looking scheme, OT - looks hard edged from here did you mask it with blu-tak or tape?
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.
