gnomemeansgnome's golden oldie Badger ***zakonchennyy!***

Pre-1980 boxings of any kit, but preferably hard to obtain -- something that would make a collector cringe to see built.

Finally able to roll it onto the tarmac for a first look. Landing gear finally on and my scratchbuilt nose wheels/doors on and don't look too shabby. Defensive cannon barrels made of very thin cut bits of sprue slotted into holes melted with a heated pin for a somewhat more secure fit.

Simply beautiful. What more can I say? Thanks for building this one for this gb. Certainly a rare bird.

All the best.

That's a great finish, GMG, the Badger is an elegant looking bomber IMHO.

Thanks Greg! And cheers to you Shaun, thanks. And I heartily agree, the Tupolev bombers were a very handsome series of aircraft. I think it would make a good hood ornament for a 1950's automobile. Here's one more pic which I managed to bring out the bare metal shine a little better...

Amazing GMG! If I didn’t know better I’d say you shot picture of the real thing. This has been a true pleasure to watch your progress on this build.
You really did yourself proud!

Thanks fellas. Just some tinkering with the cannon barrels, since a few came out wonky. A friend has suggested that I enter it in this year's IPMS Vancouver show this coming weekend. I suppose I could do it for amusement and interest as it isn't really probably all that accurate, so I expect the judges would be all over it like a cheap suit. I will see how I feel.

Cheers, thanks! Here's the Badger on what will soon be its new corner shelf perch/hardstand of the slightly overgrown variety.
