Post by planecrazyman61 »

hi i'm going to start off with an Heller Saab Lansen and will do the recon version S32C as i like recon aircraft plus the kit does not come with any weaponry ,colour call out for this aircraft is dark green ( hum91) over a silver/grey mix ,gonna have to find alternative's preferably tamiya ,revell or vallejo as i don't bother with humbrol acrylics, pics to follow

hi started the lansen yesterday by fixing the intakes and recon fairings on the nose, glued exhaust parts together (bad seem inside) and cleaned up wheels and gear/doors ,then last night painted the cockpit (mixed revell paints) it's not accurate in any way just busy

Looks like a great start Craig. If your looking for alternative manufacturer's colours this site is worth checking out.

hi cut the tailpipe face off so i could fill the bad seem inside easier -painted and added a spare exhaust face i had spare then attached that and the cockpit to the fuselage side and in turn glued the 2 fuselage half's together and then the upper wings to the lower wing piece

Image

wings not attached to fuselage yet

might need to add a 1-2mm packing piece to the underside fuselage section just in front of the wings to allow the camera/wheelwell part to fit better

Good start, the cockpit detail will look fine under the glass I'm sure.

I've always had a soft spot for the Lansen.

Am enjoying immensely and will watch with interest,
