Tim's Finnish Buffalo (Hasegawa 1/72) **Fin(n)ished**

Post by TimJ »

I bought this a few years ago and thought this would be a good opportunity to build it.

Apologies for the late start but there has been some progress. I began by assembling and painting the nicely detailed cockpit.

Next the fuselage was closed up and the tailplanes added.

More soon.

Shaping up nicely. Always loved the "barrelness" (I know, not a real word ) of the Buffalo

Looks like you've had a great start. The IP looks very good; I believe you've used the decal for that.
Scratching in some seat harness with tape makes a pleasant and simple upgrade to models with large canopies. In any event, though, you're doing a fine job on the model.

That's a nice classy looking Hase product, Tim. The Buffalo is a type I've never built but over the years I have almost bought the old 1/48th Tamiya kit on a number of occasions!

I've built that one myself, Tim, and it's a nice relaxing build, much as you would expect from a Hasegawa kit. Looking good so far.

Thanks for the comments guys. :)

The wings and front fuselage/cowling have been added and an Airfix pilot has decided he wanted to take a spin in it.

A bit of sanding and it'll be time for paint.

Most of the painting has been completed. The area around the fuselage band needs a bit more work but it's looking more Finnish now. :)

Nice one, I've always liked those Finnish cam scheme colours on the Buffalo.
