I picked this up for £3.00 last month. Having built one in a Blitzbau back in 2010 I should be able to get this done in 6 weeks.

Nice, the Tunnan is a great quirky machine that I rather like. I never knew Airfix put one out though - I wonder if it's a re-pop of another company's tooling?

6 weeks - I reckon you could Blitz that in about 6 hours Tim. Look forward to this as I've never built a Tunnan yet, but the shape of the aircraft is growing on me these days!

Shaun - It's a re-pop of the Heller kit.

Al - the last one I built took 19 hours so I should have more than enough time for this one.

Yes, it's the Heller one. I'm making another one elsewhere on this GB. Sweet kit actually.

Apologies for the late start but there has been some progress. First I painted the cockpit interior and stuck the wings together.

Once everything had dried the fuselage was closed up and the wings added.

I thought it was time I rolled out the barrel again so after sanding down the seams the camouflage has been painted.

Great job of the camo scheme, Tim. The Tunnan has a lot of charm IMHO.

Thanks Shaun, it does have a lot of character. I got the undersides painted yesterday.

It needs a bit of touching before I add the decals.
