Wow that camo looks every bit the business!

I really like how the green tip tanks set it all off.

Nicely done!

And we're finished:

A wonderful kit, let down a bit by the finish. For some reason. I don't really know why, the matt varnish frosted especially around the tip tanks but visibly around the whole model. If there is any remedial action I can take, please let me know.

Anyway, this is a RDAF F-84G of 723 Squadron at Skydstrup (sp?) in 1962. Kit by Tamiya, decals by Hi-Decal. With the reservations about the finish, I'm quite happy with how it came out. This is my last Scandinavian subject for now as I'll be returning to the Normandie-Niemen squadron build. I have to say that this is probably the most I've enjoyed a GB since I've been on the UAMF.

Excellent.

Sometimes a coat of gloss will get rid of the white blush but I can't guarantee it.

What's the white circle for on the starboard rear canopy?

I think your Danish Thunderjet looks aces and the scheme sets off those colorful markings nicely!

I can't speak to varnishes as I never use them but I could see having similar issues myself.

You did nice work on this one and I'm really impressed with how well the lights fit on the end of the tip tanks.

Not 100% sure, but I think it's a punch-out panel that allows ground crew to get the canopy out of the way quickly. If anyone else knows I would be happy to hear it myself, as I've wondered the same thing.

That's a really good looking plane. +1 on the gloss method, had this issue a few times with Humbrol, use an artists spray can by Pebeo now, from Hobbycraft

Really? :???:

Super build Rob. That camo over PRU blue really sets off those Danish markings.
The white disk on the rear canopy is not for emergency access, it is simply to allow ground crew access to the ADF loop antenna and other gubbings behind the pilots seat without having to remove the whole canopy.

Cheers Ian, I thought it must be something like that.
