Looks a great build of a rather horrid kit but I like the back story.

DazDaMan wrote:"Model Rectifier Corporation"?? :ha:
They were and probably still are known for making power supplies and controllers for model railroading, which is where the name comes from. “Rectifier” being the electronic component that converts AC electrical current to DC current, which is used for 2-rail scale model railroading, as opposed to 3 rail AC like Lionel trains. Some of original power packs were literally rectifiers which attached to the output of Lionel train transformers, to convert them for use as 2 rail DC controllers. All that is probably info you didn’t want to know.

Just shows how a fine paint job can make the difference!
That one bowel-breaking dish that was served - was it some secret traditional Belgian meal?

I snuck this one in while everyone was off celebrating the New Year. I was laid up after falling on ice Saturday morning so I had the time.

Glad you enjoyed this one, at least more than Brussels sprouts anyway I hope.

Great subject, suitably rubbish kit, excellent choice of scheme, brilliant back story, fine looking finish. This is all quality right here.
