Crashpilot´s Airfix old tool A-4D Skyhawk, DNF :-(

Select the most rubbish kit in your stash, one that probably has no other chance of seeing a workbench, and build it however you wish - and have fun doing it along with others likewise occupied.
The GB runs from 27 Dec through 31 Jan and your host is DazDaMan.

Yes, I do! In the second half of January, my mojo left me a bit...
If I had kept my pace from the first half, it would´ve be been completed by now :???:

If I hurry up, I could finish this one on Sunday! Now just some masking of canopy, and off we go to the paint shop!

And I thought, I could fool you, damn!
I could finish the Scooter tonight, but then the finish would look too sloppy, in my eyes.
Although it´s only a krap kit, I don´t want to make it look too krappy.
At least the drop tanks will make it over the finish line of the GB, photographic proof to follow soon

At least drop tanks are finished:

Couldn´t we do a "Drop tank GB", so sllloooww modellers like me, get a chance to finish their work on time :ha: ?

I don´t follow Airfix paint plan, I found several pics of A4D-1 of VA-34 with BLUE markings on tanks, rudder, behind canopy... it makes sense, cause VA-34 were called The Blue Blasters ( I don´t have any literature bout the Scooter,
I found all the info in the net).
White underside is drying right now:

A close call, but still a DNF: I´ll move the build to workbench.
Some touch ups on the top sides needed, because of overspray, and lifting off of colour by masking tape, and Maskol, too

I´ll NOT put the Scooter onto the doom shelf! I´ll finish it in this month - I have less time for modelling from now on for a while,
too much "real" life goin on...

Glad you're going to finish it. Better to take your time than rush it too much.

I opened my own workbench posting now for the Scooter (and all the other DNFs from the doomed shelf ;-) ),
no problem for me, if this GB gets locked up now.
