Yeah, don't act like you didn't expect this! :ha:

I will attempt to do one of these as well, albeit with certain "rectification" to make it more like what it's meant to be!

I've done two of the smaller versions - this is the bigger one (1/48th, apparently!).

Ill be watching this one as I've often seen them and never had the guts to get one!

Good grief. It almost makes those dreadful Starfix kits look great in comparison.

Not managed to screw down enough fortitude

My fortitude should not be questioned, for I have at least broken the thing out of the box!

Not a lot to it, thankfully. The big version is literally just that - a scaled up version of the 1/72 job, so no extra parts or detailing, really. The spare tailplanes in the middle will replace the two pathetic examples in the kit. As for the wings.....!

(It should be noted, the wings are actually upside down in the photo!)

That is the lowest parts count that I've ever seen in a 1/48th kit. It's also of note that the model shown on the box top (I wouldn't be surprised if that is a Hasegawa Mk VIII being used for "illustrative purposes"!!) appears to differ a little to what is provided on the sprues :ha:

Wow, Daz. That kit model almost looks like my one time attempt at carving out a block of wood.
I'm wondering if Grafix scooped my block of spruce out of the landfill to use as a template.

It's definitely NOT true 1/48th scale - the propeller assembly is tiny compared to a proper 1/48th kit!

In all honesty, if these things were thought out a bit more (i.e., actually looked like the box art!), then I maybe wouldn't mind getting one as a stocking filler or something. The low parts count would make them a great intro to proper building/painting.

But yes, those wings....!

Seeing the sprues, you're even braver than I thought.

I have 1/72 missiles with higher parts counts than this kit. Amazing.

You are a brave, brave man but as far as suitable kits for this GB go, I don't think they come better qualified than this!
