The red and black has turned out well with only a small amount of touching up required.

The Tamiya Grey Primer is a great match for RN Battle Ship Grey so I’m sticking with the primer.

I've had some thermo plastic for a few years, not needed for modelling so far only to repair a short shot toy part. The care filler as "resin" is a great idea.

Definitely looking the part.

I too have sometimes just left the primer as my grey colour. Testors primer is not far off Dark Sea Grey (mind you - I am colourblind)!

Will you need an extension to finish this one?

I have too much left to do within this GB so it’s definitely a DNF for me.

Thank you for running this GB Daz, if it wasn’t for this GB this kit would have stayed very close to the bottom of my build pile, but I have really enjoyed working on the kit and have learned new skills, once this GB closes I will move it over to my work bench thread.

I’m still plodding on as the LST only had a top speed of 6-8 knots this was never going to be a sprint race.

I’m happy how the little Higgins boats are turning out, I used milliput forthe front rams using the kit parts to make the moulds.

Good news I have been successful on bidding on a very large quantity of 6mm scale AVF’s on eBay that should arrive by the weekend and will cover the ships upper deck.
