Oh no, no blame at all! , always been a big Lego fan myself. Only really use it for jigs for models now but still succumb to sticking bricks together for no real reason, just fun!!.

Some time ago I was given quite a lot of Tamiya type, 1/35 body parts. As I'm coming to the end of my current Waco build, tomorrow I shall have a look through them and decide what can be assembled. It/they may not be as the manufacturer intended - who knows...

Or, as quite a number of signatures around here point out, cares. What matters is what you intend for them to turn out as. I look forward to seeing what your pile of body parts turns into.

No, if he's going to make that kind of mess, he'd at least have to be a Lieutenant. :)

I will be watching this GB with interest guys as figures are an area I would like to learn this year. Sadly I have just got too much on at the moment.
Maybe I will pick up a few tips from your work.

I can't find the figure I was planning to build and to be honest my time is going to be limited. So I'd like to change my entry to the 1/32 driver figure that came with the Matchbox Surtees TS16 that I've had on the been for most of the year. I@d like to get it all finished for the Huddersfield show so this would be some much needed encouragement. The three parts have been cleanup but nothing more:

I'm sorry, but unless you have some really spectacular plans for this driver, this seems to be getting rather too far from the purpose of the GB. This figure doesn't look like it's ever going to be more than cockpit filler for the car, while the figures themselves are supposed to be the focus of the projects here. I realise the same objections could be raised against the panzer and gun crews here, but those at least have the potential to turn into some heavy duty figure building/painting work (I'll be appropriately grumpy if they turn into just-good-enough rush jobs, but I don't think it will come to that).

Again, I could be mistaken, and you may have plans to go completely wild on this figure, in which case I look forward to you having me eat my words ;-)

I have been in the loft to dig out the figures I wanted to build but thinking about it I feel they would be overshadowed by the rest of the kits (motorcycles and horses) so I dug this weird fellow from his hiding place. Am I correct in thinking that he is a Roman soldier?

All the best.

Greg

He does indeed look like a cartoonish Roman.

A appreciate your worrying about the figures being eclipsed by motorcycles, but the horses would be just fine for as far as I'm concerned. I never specified human figures, and animals share many of the characteristics of human figures with respect to 'different' techniques needed. If you have some inspiring cavalry in the stash, go right ahead.
