Call of Duty Ghillie suit sniper ***finished***

I’m looking at a unusual subject, whilst rummaging in my local Works shop I found a MEGA BLOKS set from Call of Duty that has a great little sniper figure that I think with a bit of cutting a filling has the potential to be a good figure, the base is standard Lego type blocks but even they can be cut and filled to produce a proper base.

I think I might need a trip down to the builder suppliers to pick up a large tub of filler.

We wanted out of the box, and this certainly is it ;-) This being an unusual medium, to say the least, we will of course be expecting all the details of the physical and chemical characteristics of the material :-D

I don't know Megabloks, so I have no idea of the scale of the figure. How big is this guy?

He is about 55mm high so probably 1/32 scale

Yup, that's spot on for 1/32. He does look like he needs work though..

Surely that's the quickest GB finish ever!

OK this is what it looks like as an OOB build I’m now going to see haw the plastic reacts to different types of glue. If the plastic behaves then I can start work on the figure.

Good news the plastic responds well to normal plastic cement, so I have removed the Lego type lumps from the top of the bricks and given them a coat of home made plastic filler.

This is quite an interesting project.
The hands and gun look weirdly out of scale to me. Though, I almost feel like I should keep my mouth shut and let an outstanding modeller do his thing. At this point, I,m not sure how far your going to go.
It's a great idea, and certainly a project to follow.

It’s more of an experiment and something to practice on rather than a serious project.

To cover the Lego type base I’m using cheap car filler as it sets quick, I’m also trying the filler on a mould I have made for some Churchill 1/76 tracks.

Loving this project; it's like reverse engineering!

A coat of grey primer and some earth paint has improved the base.

A coat of primer shows not bad detail for a toy.
