The base looks a lot better after your improvements.

Odd source or not, this actually has the makings of a very nice little display.

Would it be feasable to refine his hands a little? He looks like he's wearing enormous padded gloves now, and the perfectly cylindrical insides are odd (as is to be expected given the source of the parts). If this could be fixed, few would believe he's essentially a Lego figure.

I might look at what 1/32 hands and weapons I have to see what can be changed.

It's been a long time since we heard from this project. Are you still at it, or did playing with all the other legos become too tempting ;-)

Sorry for the lack of updates I got side tracked building one of my Fathers ships over on the Kap Kit GB.

To improve the look of the suit as an experiment I have added some of the scatter grass that I have used on the base, what do you think?

I'm ambivalent here. On the one hand, the colours strike me as too hard. On the other hand, Ghillie suits are
supposed to be stuffed with whatever junk is found lying around where the user is hiding, so using the same scatter as on the base is exactly right. Perhaps appropriately, the colours seem 'better' in the picture on the base (and therefore in the right environment to blend in) than in the picture in your hand. This might well prove the theory behind the suit.

In general, this is turning into a really nice figure, even when ignoring his very unlikely background.

I might try a dark wash to tone him down

A wash will help to tie the colours together ;-)

Ratch you were right a light filter coat and wash has toned it down, yesterday I picked up some static grass that will give the base more depth

I’m not a figure painter but I have enjoyed experimenting with this figure.

You really wouldn't guess at his origins from the finished pictures! Really great work!
