iggie's French Figures ***finished***

This is a "get your feet wet" GB for figures and busts for those who have been reluctant to try or want to expand their skills. Any era, any scale, any subject -- even supporting vehicles/equipment are allowed, say in a diorama/vignette.
This GB runs from 1st January to 11th February and your host is rob_van_riel.

I'm not getting drawn into any debate on Scottish humour

Work on the diorama has commenced; three large trees made from seafoam and flock, stuck on with hair spray. My static grass applicator has died so will need to wait for a replacement to arrive before I can go any further

Remember the old theatrical luvvies saying: never work with animals or children ....

Getting the old plastic horses in the airfix ww1 set bridled and saddled put me off animals ...

It is all looking fine and dandy. That cart looks like it would carry a crop of apples nicely with them folk sat up front ...

Your trees look good and that is what made me think of an orchard setting ... and a rustic wooden barrel and old but if wall and broken wood gate ...

It looks like it's coming together very nicely. I really like those MB figure sets. They provide realistic poses, with very nice details. Definitely, my favorite plastic figure sets.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you folks

I have some crates to go into the back of the cart, which I will partly cover with an old tarpaulin (read toilet paper soaked in pva and painted  ). With the trees behind and some rough grass in the foreground I think it will work, although I do like the scrumping idea!

The crates arrived today so they've had a quick coat of wood brown before a gloss and some weathering

They do look a bit rough don't they! I gave them a brown Flory wash and they came up nicely I think

Anyway, I'm calling this pretty much done; I added some old railway ballast as a road, some static grass and my trees
