First to draw blood and possibly first to draw paint.

Spaceowl has gone to bed but should return in the morning.

I've discovered that some of the smaller parts are tricky to place correctly as the locating points indicated in the instructions don't actually exist. The joys of limited run kits.

I plan to attach the canopy and tail planes then catch some ZZZ's whilst the adhesive sets.
Then get a coat of primer on before bacon butties in the morning. 8-)

Nice work, these are really coming along nicely!
Enjoy your snooze guys, looking forward to your next updates!
I'm just about to set off for my shirt morning shift so as soon as I'm back I'll be jumping into my blitz!

Or avoid using sharp tools after cider!

A bit of blood drawn is called suffering for one's art :ha: I see you both made good progress, I would have watched but TV, beer and nodding off to sleep far too early got in the way - I apologise for my weakness but I think it's my age. Anyway, aren't you up yet? get that bacon on!

Sound advice Daz.

Well I slept like a baby without wetting the bed. 8-) Paul is understandably thankful.

The Yak is just about ready for Primer

So the Blitzbau house reverberates to the sound of latex slapping against flesh. :-o

Blitzbau brekky is served

I'll eat this whilst the primer dries. Just heard Spaceowl returning.

Seeded bread and fruit juice I'm worried that your diet is veering towards healthy.

Sorry James. I'll have a word with the chef.

I used a white primer on the Moose because it enhances the red colour.

Image

I'll keep the engine cowl separate as it will remain white and attach it at the end of construction.
More to follow.

The Spitfire is primed an d Rob is just working on his dangly bits.

Image

Meanwhile the Moose is red all over and whilst that is drying I am tackling the U\C, propeller and cowling.
Once the red has dried I will give the whole thing a coat of Klear before masking off and painting the wing tips and tail top white.

I am not looking forward to decalling that white fuselage flash!

I know right!

We may have stumbled across a correlation between excessive booze & crap modelling. Who knew? ;-)

The Moose has a coat of Klear drying

Whilst the Spitfire is getting some camo.

Gotta love a Spitfire. 8-)
We plan on having a lunch break soon whilst paint etc. dries. And take on more fluids.

Excellent progress. Carb up and keep well hydrated as it will steady the hands and nerves for the final push to completion. My tip for the top is don't go bothering a sports nutritionist on a Saturday afternoon but try your local publican instead, usually they will be very keen and willing to help and will do so in a more relaxed atmosphere too - no boring lectures on "taking it seriously", "winning" or "personal best performance".
