More filling and sanding. Just a bit more sanding underneath and that should be done. On the plus side the undercarriage is finished.

Filling and sanding is done and the first coat of paint is on. I'm using Revell acrylic paint so at least I won't have to spend hours watching paint dry.

Coming along well. I use Revell Aqua most of the time as my paint of choice, as it is a nice paint for brush painting

It looks like you are on short finals with this one.

Thanks for the comments. The second coat of paint has gone on and it's looking a lot less streaky.

I'll probably give it another coat then it'll be time for clear and decals.

I decided against another coat of paint and went straight to the clear. I also fitted the undercarriage.

Time for the decals. :)

Most of the decals are on and the canopy has been glued on, not a particularly good fit but I've had worse. Just a few more decals, some touching up around the canopy and fitting undercarriage doors to go.

The decision now is do I stay up and finish it or go to bed and finish it in the morning.

I decided to stay up and finish the Gnat while watching the last run of the Men's Skeleton at the Winter Olympics. Dom Parsons won Team GB's first medal of the games with a Bronze.

Back to the model, I'm calling it finished. It was a change not to be rushing to get it finished with minutes to go.

I'll give it a coat of clear to seal in the decals and take some photos for the Gallery in the morning.

Excellent job! I think I prefer that to the new tooling
Best wishes
