Re: TeeELLs Sherman III
That looks like a challenging kit for a blitz, but I think once you get past the running gear, you should be OK. Looking good. I like the PE work.

Nice one, this is a very comprehensive looking kit of the Sherman from our Gallic chums. Great progress!

Splash, my preference is the softer Single malts. I am not one for the distilled creosote like Laphroig.

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

If you like the softer taste try the east coast whiskey they tend to be good, I must admit I’m a laphroig lover.

Re: TeeELLs Sherman III
Splash I am very fond of the McCallan. Here in my town we have a specialist Whisky shop a few minutes walk away, it takes longer to get back!! (and seems further!!).
Anyway, onward and upward. I am hoping to complete the Sherman this evening/night.
A photo to show that, apart from removing masking tape, nothing has advanced since I ceased early this morning.
The undercarriage first I think.

I must admit McCallan is one of my favourites even though it’s from the East coast

When company is over it is Cutty Sark. When I treat myself it is Glenlivet.

Re: TeeELLs Sherman III
OK, I lost track of time and lost the etched brass brush guards for the front lights! Found one - flattened and then spotted the second. The flattened guard was recoverable and they are now superglued in place.
Having been up to the Midlands this morning and had lunch out, this evenings meal was not worth a photo. Vegetable soup and a cheese sandwich washed down with sparkling water!
OK, back to the model, I have one final rear light brush guard to fit/lose then I will prime and photograph. The turret is now ‘Light mud’ colour.

Re: TeeELLs Sherman III
Well, I managed to 'ping' the rear light brush guard but by luck I found it again!! To give you some idea of the level of 'luck' in finding it, see this photo:
Since my last post I have primed the body of the tank and sprayed it Light Mud. The chassis received a coat of 'Blue/black' before receiving the Light mud.
My plan, now, is to remove the mould line around the road wheels, paint the tyres and build the undercarriage.
