I am fated with this, I really am. As if I have not had enough other interruptions, I am now finding that email is not working on my mobile for some reason today whether it is their server or what but it seems its a password issue??. It did work on phone at 9am this morning but hasnt done anything since, but if I go into it on laptop can find it and send/receive there.
I am trying to paint the two figures - so photos soon.

This is what the instructions suggest you do.
I however am going off piste and it is turning into a bodge feste. with the bottom and top glued and set I could see there were a few issues. trying to get the kit parts to align at speed is not going to happen so a bit of pasticard has been found and will be cut and shunted into place instead
in have also glued the bridge track parts together now in readiness for needing them later
I shall be breaking out a beer shortly ... and well

this photo was meant to have come in the last update too as I am having a bit of a need for filler here and there. I was hoping to get away without too much painting, but still might

That looks quite complicated for a small kit

Looks like this is going to fight you most of the way!
Good luck!
Good luck!
Best wishes

I really hadn't realised the type of beast I was fighting. I have had to break out a beer or two already so in the interests of Blitz requirements ...
I have had the radio on and heard something about an earthquaque in Wales and some parts of southern england; never heard or felt anything here though.
As for further progress on the model
After a bit of a rest and another beer while the paint dries I shall then attempt to get the wheels on

The next round of fight club has got me the wheels on - after a fashion
and on the plus side,I have secured the tracks securely together.
Meanwhile Hans and Frederick have scrubbed up after a fashion. They are not the best specimens I have encountered at all.
However, I will I think now leave the wheels to set hard before wrestling the tracks over. They are so rigid and hard it is going to be interesting to see how they fare when I still have a sprocket or idler or whatever to get in with them
See you all for part 2 tomorrow

Sewing the tracks is a good idea.

Nice one Chris.

Nice work so far. I hope fitting the tracks doesn't give you too much trouble.

Re: ChrisM fights with old Esci German Assault Bridge STARTE
I am not sure yet Tim, they are putting up a bit of a protest. While it may seem that all is looking dandy in this photo, the reality is somewhat different.
After the last photos with the wheels I did apply a dab of grey here and there on the upper bits but left the wheels to harden overnight.
I have now cajoled one set of tracks and the wheely cog into place, reglued a number of wheels back on, and had to force a paintbrush under there too to push track down onto wheels ... (so far so ... ) I left this for an hour or so earlier to get superglue to set in this track position and if I dont touch it it seems to be holding ..
Re-read the last 10 words I wrote before the picture ... I now have the other side to attack and must try not to handle the side already fitted so that no more wheels fall off and nothing more diasterous happens - more later

Not a lot more worth taking photos of yet ... I am waiting on glue drying and then the bridge track bits can go on.
It also seems to be a day when nobody is on the forum too, as there has only been one new post I can see on the entire forum in since I made the previous update this morning
