Here we go, one last update before bye byes.

The only gripe so far is that the canopy is a little too narrow for the kit but as I don't have a spare it went on.
I masked the canopy although there are still a few small pieces of framework that will need painting by hand. I applied interior green to the canopy framing before applying the primer.

I will call it a night now to let he primer cure overnight.
Hopefully I will kick of the second half of this blitzbau build tomorrow evening about 7 pm again.
See you then.

Nice work so far.

I really must do another one, as there's at least two more paint schemes from movies that I haven't yet done....!

I said it was ideal blitz fodder - nice work so far, Ian. Am I right in thinking that your subject carries no markings at all, much like the Rhodesian Air Force of the time?

Great stuff, OT and if it doesn't carry markings then that is a great blitz bonus!

Looking very smart already. Nice choice of music (Floyd) and I've got that on YouTube now :-D
Best wishes

Never crossed my mind Shaun.
Yes Rob no markings although some sources say they displayed a squadron badge although why would you remove national markings and serial number only to put an identifiable squadron badge on there? It will all depend if I can find a suitable Sqn badge.

So I am kicking off the second half of this blitz just a bit late. I am at a point where the first coat of paint can go on so once that is done I will upload some images.

First up, some tunes for Iggie.

Glad you like it David. To be honest it's the only stand alone clock I have as I need my phone for taking the photos and a clock needs to be visible in them. :???: I think I got it for No.1 son when he was going through his Dr. Who phase. Currently he's in the sullen teenager phase.

Now to paint - just one more sausage roll.

Just for you Splash.

Two coats of Xtracrylix RAF Dark Earth.

Image

Just let that dry for 20 minutes then play with some random green camo.

Now for something a bit different.

Time to pick up some more supplies.

Camo applied.

Sadley after taking this image I noticed a massive over spray on the other side of the fuselage so I'm about to tackle that now.
It's always after you've cleaned your airbrush too.

I need to add some wing walk-ways then tackle the U\C & Canopy.

Need to stay calm.
