I continued as for as long as I could last night/this morning, stopping for some sleep around 3.30 AM. When I tried to take the first picture this morning I found my battery to be exhausted so this is now on a brief charge in order to take just one picture to bring things up to date.

The build continued rather late in between the TV/DVD programme breaks and this is the current state of play, all that now remains to be done is to paint and decal the model and add those last few parts to complete the build.

The airframe has been primed, when it is dry I will post the next picture.

The airframe is now primed in matt white, the next colour will be Revell Aqua 91 Steel, the full size aeroplane is highly polished but I don't like polished finishes in this scale so steel and gloss varnish will be the chosen finish.

The Steel has been applied almost overall, it does look a little too dark even under the white primer so I will thinly paint over this with Revell Aqua 99 Aluminium, as I type this the Steel is almost dry so the next picture will be posted soon.

The steel is dry, Alluminium will go on next followed by red on the tail group.

With two coats of Alluminium the finish is now even and is just bright enough to pull off the effect I require but before painting the tail unit red I will apply the decals.

With the end now here I have not finished on time, I will post pictures of the finished build in this thread but obviously my build cannot go into the gallery- I declare this a late finish.

A very good effort. It will look excellent when finished
Does the 'Steel' have any affect on the shade or colour of the 'Aluminium' paint?
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

So near! That's a shame but certainly through no lack of effort on your part
Best wishes
