Does the 'Steel' have any affect on the shade or colour of the 'Aluminium' paint?
This was applied as a wash, two coats lifted the finish to balance the depth of the Steel and the brightness of the Alluminium without swamping the former colour.

Looks splendid. I saw her for real before Fantasy of Flight cut back its public access a few years ago and yours looks perfect.

It's great to see this done and what a great looking build it is, David. Well worth the bit of effort dropping the flaps, as that is such a characteristic of the full-size when parked up and deflecting the elevators has also helped to give the model a nicely candid appearance.
