Shane's Desert Hunter ** Finished**
I've a few Hunter kits in the pile so I bought the Xtradecal sheet for overseas users.
Rather than using one of my Revell F.6/ FGA .9 kits which I'm going to do in the box art schemes I've dug out this old blueprint boxing of Airfix's FGA.9. It comes with RAF and Kuwait markings but other than the stencils I'm going to use the Xtradecal ones.
Following my usual methods I won't be adding any extra detail other than a bit of card in the wheel wells to stop the see thru into the fuselage.

Re: Shane's Desert Hunter
I got some more work done on the Hunter, gave it a primer coat of Mr Surfacer 1500. A learning curve there. Some odd spatters which needed flatting back and on the whole it takes about ten times as long as a rattle can but it does dry very quickly and doesn't hide any surface detail, also shows up any areas needing further attention. After that a bosh over with Xtracrylix Azure blue as quoted on the decal sheet. I have Mr Bradley's lovely book and he notes that the paints were ICI colours with no exact match in BS/FS /RAL so for the purpose of this build I'll go with the recommended callouts on the decal sheet.

Re: Shane's Desert Hunter
A temporary halt has been called on this as decorating my bedroom has taken precedence and the modelling room is full of furniture etc. I should be able to continue from midweek.
