This little gem is the excellent Revell kit plus a new fuselage:

As my time is scarce and I want a definite finish I'll be going for a wheels up OOB build and the early High Speed Silver with yellow bands scheme of 74 Sqn as displayed at Cosford

Nice! Do you have a photo of the decal sheet, by chance?

They look interesting kits, I’m interested in seeing this build and how the small scale comes out.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Her you go, they provide the underwing serials a both single and multi-piece to go over the undercarriage door which is a nice touch.

Looks like I'm first off the Mark (1) :mrgeen: as I've a day off work to do things.

Cockpit is a simple affair some nice seats, fat sticks and decal for the IP. I'm adding some Aeroclub white metal pilots. Got the wings joined and painted all the black bits v dark grey enamel.

The pilots look a bit like the Mekon, or is it just the angle and a trick of the light?

Good start!

I've always thought 1/144 to be too small for most military jet fighters but actually this looks very nice with more detail and a better decal sheet than I was expecting. I'll not jinx the build further by joining in Greg's bet :ha:
