Maidstone Model Shop.

Since the demise of Modelzone and Regal Models in Maidstone a couple of years ago, the County Town of Kent has been without a dedicated model shop, and so: while doing my Saturday shopping in Town today, I came upon a NEW Model Shop that has recently opened in the Mall/Chequers Centre. The shop is situated on the top floor, next to Poundland, opposite TJ Hughes. Obviously, they are still setting up the store, but they seem to have a selection of model genres, including aircraft, armour, ships, wargaming and diecast, not a large stock, but it is early days. Unfortunately, I seem to have put the mockers on this 'NEW' model shop venture. Went to check on their progress on Tuesday, only to find the shop shut and in darkness, no notice in the window, no nothing. So I went to have a chat with the Manager of the Centre; who I know, and she told me that the proprietor came in at the week-end and cleared the shop out, without giving a reason, so we are back to square one.
