Hi folks. Please could you state what you can bring to the display in this thread. Either built or intend to get built. I will compile a list when we have a few up. The only criteria this year is it will be a showcase of what can be done with Classic British kits. From OOB through to superdetailing and conversions. And that they are new builds and ones that nave not been displayed before.
All the best.

Jeff sent two FROGs over for last years show. The Hornet and the Fokker Dxxi
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

Re: Telford builds.
The first completion will be hopefully my long suffering Airfix Jetstream 3M.
Other possibles include -
Airfix Fokker Troopship
Airfix P-51B
Airfix Bo105
FROG Jaguar
FROG Avenger
I know Al is building a Herc but I might be tempted to build mine in the USAF scheme.
This is highly subject to change as I have other options that might take my fancy. Also as usual work edging out my modelling time.

Go for it Matt, even though my Herc is well started, with my glacial build rate there is still no guarantee it will be finished for November!MDT wrote:I know Al is building a Herc but I might be tempted to build mine in the USAF scheme.

I’m pretty much going at the same rate Al!beany wrote:Go for it Matt, even though my Herc is well started, with my glacial build rate there is still no guarantee it will be finished for November!MDT wrote:I know Al is building a Herc but I might be tempted to build mine in the USAF scheme.

Out of interest, what is the upper years we class a kit as CBK?
I’m tempted with building my 1981 Airfix HH-53 but is it old enough? Quality-wise it is in my eyes a classic.

Re: Telford builds.
Certainly qualifies as far as I am concerned. A nice kit too.
On to my build list. I have the Airfix Bird dog in Austrian markings. If I remember correctly it hasn't been on a show table though it is a build from last year. Is everyone ok with it being included?
All the best.

I'd be happy to send these two over:Gregers wrote:And that they are new builds and ones that nave not been displayed before.

Not sure if these still qualify as new enough, but they've certainly never been on any display before.
I won't be able to make it to Telford myself, but I could ship the models over if someone else can receive them and take them to the display. Let me know if that is of any use.
