Video for Telford 2012?

What makes a British kit a Classic? What Classic kit is really British? What is the SIG all about and what goes on...from initial musings, to full on campaigning. It'll all be here, interspersed with talk of Texan Bars, Alias Smith & Jones and The Flashing Blade, Footy Cards and Bath Night, before School.

Video for Telford 2012?

Post by beany »

Chaps, does anyone have a video camera they would be willing to take to Telford? I don't otherwise I would take my own obviously. As well as a nice bit of footage of the display, (and more of SMW generally besides?), I thought one or two impromptu interviews with those manning the display might be nice, with explanations of how the builds were achieved, a bit about CBK itself etc., which could then be uploaded to YouTube with links on this site and on a few other, and Facebook - even our new pals on Hyperscale. I'll do anything to encourage interest and new membership for the CBK SIG (to hopefully atone for my lack of input when I was the SIG leader but not really savvy enough or up to the job at the time), hence my lugging the display round the country and trying to be diplomatic on other sites. So, any budding director/producers out there?!

Cheers
Al.

Nice idea Al. My Lumix camera will do nice video, though you'll have to wait till I get home to access the videos.

I was going to say that most digital cameras seem to have a usable video function, though they tend to wear out the batteries more quickly.

I'll also have my camera with me for the show and it is supposed to have a video function but I've not tried it yet. Maybe we could share the filming between several cameras to preserve batteries etc.

Yeah, even my own point & squirt Fuji camera takes video, but I was hoping to up the quality if someone had a pukka video camera. Not to worry if no one has though - what you guys have suggested will be perfectly good if not. I believe Matt was able to upload some video onto the net from his Hotel room last year on the Saturday night, just to keep the insatiable colonial members like Brews quiet I think :ha:
