Established in 1982, by Chris Gannon, I believe that these should qualify for CBK status.

Focusing on mainly WWI subjects, the range is generally esoteric and covered a lot of subjects not covered elsewhere.
Packaging was basic and few plastic pieces were supplied, although accuracy was a common theme and, where it mattered, surface detail was good.

Some kits, though not all, included white metal detail parts and strut material. That said, most kits I've encountered relied on you finding your own plasticard to m,ake your own bits and struts from, using templates given within the instructions.
Decals were also usually basic, though of high quality and lozenge decals were supplied for those few kits that need it.
(As an aside, Pegasus also produced a range of beautiful lozenge decal sheets.

Due to life changes, Chris was unable to continue the business and, in 2008, Colin Strachan of Freightdog Models bought Pegasus, Silver Cloud and Blue Max, the 1/48 range of kits. You can now buy Pegasus kits from Freightdog and often at a far lower price than those found on our favourite n-line auction site, or from our fave on-line secondhand kit dealers.
You can also buy lozenge decal sheets from Freightdog.

I've compiled a list of Pegasus kits, all in 1/72 and would appreciate any further info.. I intend to contact Colin at Freightdog, but in the meantime, this is as far as I've got;

Having spoken with Colin Strachan, I can confirm that, following a couple of tweaks, my list is probably comprehensive.
(Unless, of course, you know different ;-) ).

My list was compiled by visiting The Aviation Hobby Shop, Collectakit, eBay, Hannants, King Kit, Kit Krazy, Modelsforsale, Old Model Kits and Freightdog.
This means that the range is still available, somewhere, which is encouraging.

However, a word of caution. Prices vary quite considerably and some of the older kits may have cracked and/or unusable decals. You should check with the vendor exactly what it is you are buying. That said, Freightdog clearly indicate the decal status and some kits, without decals, are being sold off at rock bottom prices.
Since the likes of Roden are producing excellent Albatros kits, it would not be worth the expense of printing new decal for the old Albatros.
On the other hand, Colin is working through the back catalogue and getting new decals printed for some of the still-unique kits.

Regards,
Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Great job on the list - a couple of additions for you:

Salmson 2A2

Also for the Roland there appear to be 2:

LVG. Roland V1b - Kit No'1003 in Polybag
L.F.G. Roland D-II - Kit No'1025 boxed ( a weird looking thing!).

I have picked up a few of the really cheap Pegasus Albatros kits as there are some good looking decals available to complement these great looking kits.

Cheers

Loyd
