Does anyone have a list of past and present Aeroclub kits? I know he produces detail bits but I just want know what aircraft kits were made both in vacuform and injection.

Aeroclub appeared on the cusp of the cut off point for strictly CBK manufacturers. The majority of their kits have been produced after this date. This date for 'classic' -ness was set to be approximately 25yrs ago, so like classic cars kits of today will become classics in time. In short though we do not have a Aeroclub kit list, I certainly like to see one anyway but have been hindered in my attempts by no longer having any old Aeroclub catalogues and their adverts being coy about serial numbers.

Thanks James. But didn't Aeroclub start making kits in the 80's. I believe that they are still making white metal bits and possibly some resin and limited run injection kits too. Hopefully some may have an Aeroclub catalogue or two to help shed some light. I too would like to know what they made as they have vacuforms that were later made in limited run injection kits.

The original cut off point was the mid 80's so only their earliest kits possibly qualify for true CBK status. We did have a 1/48 Chipmunk as part of the 101GEMS display.

Yes they are still going as a much smaller concern since John's business partner died a couple of years ago. Aeroclub were at the recent Huddersfield show.

You could try contacting John, directly, through the Britmodeller website, where he is an active member.

I've been trying for a couple of days and can't seem to get into the site. Is the Britmodeller website having problems?

Britmodeller has been down for a number of days . Aeroclub at one point could claim to have had the largest range of aircraft kits and accessories in the UK .

I may have an old catalogue somewhere. If I find it I can scan it in.

Frustratingly the catalogue numbers weren't printed on many of their adverts

Good work !
I think the "TBA" for K037 Short 184 means "to be announced" - I have 2 on my shelf, so I think they made it.

John has also indicated that he is planning on re-releasing it as well.
