Well, after a 23 years break and now retired (early) I have started to finish what I always promised I'd do. Here's an old Revell Polikarpov I-16 I must have bought about 25 - 30 years ago and started. Reckon by next weekend it'll be finished in a Nationalist China air force colours. Wish me luck
This is how it was when I opened the box
My 1st attempt at dry brushing for about 25 years !!
I'll be back with regular updates...............

Nice one
Welcome back to the hobby.
I'll be building this kit as part of the Blitzbau some time this month so I'll be keen to see how you go with yours.
What are you doing for decals when it comes to Chinese markings?

This may be an old kit but it still builds well, I like your engine finish, very well done- I don't think time has diminished your skill. I built one in Spanish Republican colours last year- Are you using the old Esci decal sheet for this kit?

Welcome back to the hobby!
The engine looks very good. I'd say your attempt was successful.

Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

I agree it is a lovely classic little kit and one of my favourites out of all of the Revell Frame Box series and a great one to start your finishing with

No Updates? I'd like to know more bout this kit :-)
Waiting for the day, when wars for territory will be something to be read about in history books only.

you might have a small wait Crash, the OP hasn't been on the forum since November 2016 and this thread is even older!
Nice looking kit mind you!
