Coastal Command SIG - Reformed

Post by phoenix54 »

Hi all,
just a quick message to let you all know the Coastal Command SIG is / has been reformed.

N.B. you DO NOT have to be a member of IPMS to join us!!
(we had 9, 10 (John Ratz), 11 (Tom) 'paid up' members within two weeks.)

We have hopefully booked table space at this years 2017 SMW show at Telford.
First official 'outing' may be at the Driffield show 3 September 2017, NO GUARANTEE!!
If possible, we will be next / close to the Bomber Command SIG at shows both groups attend.

If you have been a member in the past, and wish to rejoin, OR want to join as it "seems like a good idea"
please send me a P.M!

ATB
Paul Brown (deputy SIG leader)

P.S. I see a fair number have 'had a look' at the original post..........
come on, don't be shy, get in touch!!!!

Hi James,
SIG lead is Mike Burns.
He founded IPMS Cleveland and was club secretary for 15 years,
he also started the IDF SIG, UKCAF SIG (both now under 'new management')
and laterly the Leopard SIG.

Latest update for all "Kipper Fleet" fans............

The reformed Coastal Command SIG WILL have it's first outing at this years (2017) SMW.
I have been told that we have table space allocated, so if you want to dust of some of your kits
and bring 'em along, we'll be very glad to see/meet you.
I'll keep you up to speed as we receive further information.
This will be particularly relevant to NON IPMS members,
as those of you already with IPMS(UK) will receive time scales and floor plans via the 'in house' magazine.

Before I sign off, many thanks to John Ratz and Tom Watts for their help and good wishes.
The Coastal Command SIG will remain here on the UAMF site, so anybody that has been putting off
contacting me (you KNOW who you are!) you now have NO excuse!! :-D

All the best,
Paul
