Re: Avro Shackleton GB *Provisionally November*
Still undecided ? go on, build that kit. This is my mark one conversion as it now stands, the cockpit and nose are to be fitted out as a Mark 1, the fuselage is now joined up and I am currently scratch building an Airborne Lifeboat underneath it.

Would this run for full 6 weeks? I think it would take 2 weeks to remove the rivets off the Frog mould.

Re: Avro Shackleton GB *Provisionally November*
Well David, it is a large model and a number of them will probably be conversions to AEWs, there may also be the odd vac form in there so it could probably be useful to have six weeks, I will ask jRatz.
You didn't say are you joining in? there is plenty of room for more builders here, lots of people keep the Frog (and the rest) kit in their stash but they do need building. It may be a large model but it is not an overly complicated one and should be buildable within a GB.

David, I can't commit to it but I do think it will need the full 6 weeks.
I have 4 - an AMT/Frog issue, a Revell issue and 2 Frogspawns plus I have the Aeroclub AWE2 set and the Aeroclub decal sheets to do just about any RAF MR2, 3 or AEW2. What I don't have is time.

C'mon O_T, you're not supposed to remove the rivets one-at-a-time

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Just giving this a shake to remind everyone we will need six builders ready and able to begin on the November start date otherwise we will need to move over to the Shared Builds thread. Nearer the time I will PM everyone who has posted here to remind and confirm.

I'm in but will need new decals. Not only are they terrible in original production but have deteriorated markedly. Sooooo off to ebay.

Re: Avro Shackleton GB ** On Calendar **
The build is now just under a month away so I really do need six confirmations to lock this GB down, if we cannot do this the build is dead and we must move to a Shared build.
