Re: Anyone fancy a shared build?
Ok so once I get home from Spain I will get everything sorted in the shared build section.
Thanks for your help, willingness and support everyone!
Hope we can make this a good SB!

Just one of my thoughts; hows about it being 'Unfinished GB builds' ? to separate it from the normal 'I've started.....' thread?jRatz wrote:The SB/GB Guidelines for SB state, in part: "..a place to seek out other like-minded members to build something together, whether it is the same kit, same theme, whatever, it is up to them ..."
"Unfinished" is a theme, the similarly named forum is for individual efforts, nothing stands in your way ....

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Re: Anyone fancy a shared build?
We could call it the "F-ing DNFs" with a perfectly staight face thenfredk wrote:Just one of my thoughts; hows about it being 'Unfinished GB builds' ? to separate it from the normal 'I've started.....' thread?
I've quite a few ex-GB projects on the shelf, but on the other hand, those are certainly not alone, and to be honest, some of my non-GB DNFs are higher om my priorities list. There would be a non-zero change of DNF-ing for the second time with some of the projects, and that's just cruel

Haha I quite like that name Rob!
Ok so if everyone wants it as a GB then that can happen or SB can happen too.
GB DNF's could be a good way to go as I have atleast 5 on my shelf of doom I can think of.
Again what does everyone think?

Re: Anyone fancy a shared build?
I don't think anyone suggested switching to GB format for this. I'd much rather stick to SB.Maverick231 wrote:Ok so if everyone wants it as a GB then that can happen or SB can happen too.
Certainly not my preference.GB DNF's could be a good way to go as I have atleast 5 on my shelf of doom I can think of.

Re: Anyone fancy a shared build?
I think names got twisted in search of a catchy SB title.
I think this is an SB for "unfinished models", which could include models unfinished from GB's (aka DNFs).
I do not believe the intent was to make this into a GB or to restrict the models to GB DNF's.

A half-dozen posts back suggests the SB is awaiting Mav's return from Spain in a couple weeks.

Re: Anyone fancy a shared build?
Ahh ok I guess I miss read some of the posts so to outline things:
Name: Shelf of doom SB
Objective: Finish as many shelved projects as possible.
Rules:
1. The kit must be started.
2. The kit can be at any stage from just 2 bits glued in the cockpit to it needing the decals applying.
Time frame:
The SB will run from 1st June to the 1st September which is exactly 3 months.
Il be putting a SB thread on in the next few minutes.
See you guys over there!

Great idea. Should be a regular thing
I'll join in after my Camel GB and see how many stalled builds I can smash out through the school holidays in July.
