USMC Group Build *** Complete & Archived ***

Post by dollar19 »

I was wondering if any of you would be interested in a group build focused on the USMC. Aircraft, armor, vehicles, hovercraft, figures......you name it as long as it was or is used by the Corps.
Obviously any scale and manufacturer. Any time frame included.
My father was a career Marine and I grew up on a Marine air base so it’s a bit of a heritage for me. I’m just testing the waters so to speak. I’m curious as to the interest level of you guys.

I have a number of 'tweener Yellow Wings aircraft to get to; I'm sure some of them were eventually handed down to the USMC :)
OTOH, maybe an opportunity to go look for a figure - I'm already making notes..

So, pencil me in - time dependent as usual.

I may do that. I haven’t been down there in nearly 30 years. The last time I basically drove thru it on a weekend trip to the beach. Didn’t even have time to stop.

I’m 350 west of Richmond in Bristol. So I’m afraid I won’t be making that drive. Did it many times though when my daughter was at VCU. It’s a beautiful city. Just to much of a drive for me

No I’m not Jack Reacher, but I think I may have to get some of those books and give them a read.

So we have myself and 3 others. Any more?

Yep, this sounds like fun. Might have to do a Phantom, but will look for options first.

Funnily enough I was just looking at the Airfix AV-8A Harrier and thinking I need to build it.
So count me in.

Count me in. Possibly with a Phantom or Skyhawk but I will have a looksee through the stash before I decide.

All the best.
