The existence, let alone the timing, of an "Aussie Wings" GB has not even been confirmed, so no need to pass on it just yet!

Sorry, Australian Bruce,MerlinJones wrote:August currently only has the one GB running, the Anti-Shipping GB.
I'm curious as to what, if any, GB you might be interested in participating with?
I assumed from Merlin's first quote above that he meant an August timescale for this GB. If you're thinking ahead further, then I would be very keen to take part.

Martin

I could do Aussie wings. I got a nice Spitfire VIII and dandy decal sheet for it.
Re: Oh no...yet another GB suggestion!
How about another FROG Group Build?
So much to choose from there.

Well, I think the current state of play is MJ is Bruce.
Brews is Aussie-Canadian Bruce.
BWP (me) is Australian Bruce.
Do we have any more Bruces lurking out there?
Normally I dislike "handles" intensely, but in this situation they seem appropriate.

Darn It
As a newbie to the forum, I'd like to participate in a group build. It would be nice to get back to spilling paint and getting glue on the carpet again, instead off just stocktaking and planning the next build. A little discipline would be good.
My problem is that I'm not sure which of my kits have RAAF markings. What I need to do is set up a database which will also list the various decal sets that come with the kits , , , I'll be right back

RAAF GB
Is this build to go ahead? I can't easily source an RAAF kit in my stash but there is a Revell 1/72 Supermarine Walrus, flown in WWII by the RAAF, in Hannants. I have the same kit by Airfix but it will be a challenge. It is an old mould and there is a lot of filling and sanding involved. There was a 'Build Review' in Airfix Model World magazine and they went into detail as to the problems.
I think my first GB should be an Airfix kit, but there could be a lot of swearing when I take on the Airfix kit.

Hedging Bets
Just placed an order for the Revell Walrus and the Airfix P-40. First build will be an Airfix Walrus, scavenging the decals from the Revell kit. If I have problems I can always fall back on the P-40.

Bruce (Canadian Bruce = Brews)
Bruce (Australian Bruce Probs) got it right!
And you can call me Bruce too if you like!

Is there anybody out there, who fancies messing with the Airfix Westland Scout, sooner, rather than later?
Not sure if it's worth a Poll just yet.

Yep...sometime next year though...It's always been one of those Airfix kits that I've eyed up since I was about 9 years old but never bought let alone built...was it Airwaves that did some update sets for it...?MerlinJones wrote:Is there anybody out there, who fancies messing with the Airfix Westland Scout, sooner, rather than later?
