So is this just things that fit totally on a CD? Nothing can overhang the edge, right?

I think I have just found the perfect 1/72 scale aircraft that will fit on a CD in a flying pose :-D so I'm still in.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

I'm thinking something like this doing a high angle of bank turn.

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Lovely idea, Splash. I too have been thinking of poses that would work but haven't come up with something yet.

That's a nifty idea, a good way to use the space available.

Looks like many WWI biplanes would fit depending on their wingspan. Just checked my Dr1 and it fits easy.

Also checked my Revell Snowspeeder and it just fits.

And the Zvezda wargame dio kits all fit easily as would many 72nd scale armor pieces.

Oh the possibilities.

I'm planning on getting two aircraft (1/72) in mine..... :ha: :-D
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Purplethistle wrote:Just looking for clarification of a point. We've established that the model should fit within the circumference of a CD/DVD, but can the CD be inside an open case? I have a couple of ideas, but my favourite would require an upright back to give support to part of the diorama.(within the confines of an imaginary cylinder shape of CD proportions!)
I am not sure this was ever answered, but YES, the model fits on the CD, the CD fits in the case.

In fact, that may be what I do to display the CD cover art behind the model.

We're about a month out; I will take a head count at the beginning of December.
