"Secret Santa" 2015 -- ** Forum is Open **

Post by mattbacon »

Hi, all... it looks like we have enough potential participants to make this a go for 2015. This is the thread for formal sign-ups.

Each participant will send a kit to another participant. I'll allocate your victim lucky recipient. The recipient should open said mysterious package on Christmas Day, and aim to complete building it in January (which also gives the option to do it as a Blitzbau, if the mood strikes). There's a maximum limit of £15/$20 if you choose to send the kit by purchasing online from a retailer and getting it delivered (handy if your recipient is on another continent, or if your stash is sparse. If you choose to pull something out of the stash and send it, what it is is entirely up to you.

We recommend having a look at your recipient's interests in their builds, but equally, something out of the comfort zone can be a fun gift as well.

To participate, please indicate your interest in this thread, and send me a PM with your postal address.

The set-up will close 30th November, so if you haven't signed up by then, you're not participating! I'll send out your recipients addresses by PM on December 1st, to give plenty of time for ordering and/or posting before Christmas.

Please wrap your package in Christmas paper inside the parcel, and write "UAMF Secret Santa" on the outside wrapping somehere.

Any questions, please ask by PM, or in the "UAMF Secret Santa -- are we going to do it this year?" thread in Small Talk. I'd like to keep this one restricted to actual sign-ups.

Ho, Ho, Ho...

bestest,
M.

I'm in. I shall be working away over Christmas Day (as always - the lot of a railway engineer I'm afraid) but I shall take the received kit with me and open it in my hotel room - and may even start it on one of the interminable 12 hour on-call shifts!
PM sent Matt.
