Have one or two candidates, I might even start the Airfix 1:350 Illustrious. I say start as I don't know whether it can be done in the GB's timeframe!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

I plan to convert HMS Warspite back to her looks at Jutland, the only problem is the kit I intend to use is a mixture of two part build kits, that I picked up on e-bay.

As my intentions are to break up the kits back to their componant parts and throw away the majority of the superstructure, before scratch building it all, are you happy for me to carry on using this GB or should I use the CBK thread?

Regards Splash
Let's keep a thread in this GB area, please, Alan. 8-)

Query: is the MTB outlawed as it is a launch and not a ship?
Heretic! They were the Navy's small ships. 8-)

Whether I finish it in time will be seen.
Cool! I think most of us will be pressed for time, so just do what you can! The main thing is to enjoy what you are doing. 8-)

Sorry, Gadfly, this GB is specifically for Royal Navy craft, so an RAF craft won't fit the parameters. Is there something else in your stash that would suit? The MTB, for example?

True enough; could be a possible then. I hate being spoilt for choice! :-D
Best wishes

For anyone who intends doing a version of the Daring Class Destroyer, these were taken out of a 5th floor window in South Quay Plaza, Docklands this morning during a site inspection :-D :-D
Excuse the quality but I was taking them through a rather dirty set of triple glazed windows with the sun shining on them from an angle!

I'll have a look/fondle/peruse of the kit over the weekend and decide if it's a good idea or lunacy. Or a good lunatic idea!! .
(I did buy the aircraft sprue for this kit separately so I could really fill the deck. Probably wouldn't be accurate but there you go!! )

Hmmm. Wonder if you can get decals for that big yellow rectangle on the front pointy bit of the ship?
