I'm going to go with a model of Turners P51B 'Short fuse Sallee' Probably with a couple of 500lb bombs underneath.

All the best.

Great to see builds being planned already, looking forward to seeing them come to fruition when we get started!

I am still not decided on my build(s), but am increasingly turning to the 1/32 Dragon F6-D Mustang.....
Best wishes

The decals are in with the kit already and the kit set aside. It's the Hobbyboss kit. IF I have enough time I may do Don Gentile's Shangri la too.

Just a quick reminder to all those who have signed up for the P51 Mustang GB that we are on the calender for July so don't forget to leave some room in your diary (or even your suitcase if you are on your holidays :-D) for taking part
New participants are always welcome so have a ferret through your stash, or pay a visit to your local hobby shop/favourite online auction site and we hope to see you soon!
As promised, extra points will be awarded for obscure schemes (but don't forget no whifs please) or markings and also for larger scale builds :-D :-D
And of course, what do points mean?
Best wishes

Going to be in Lisbon for half of July and most of my luggage allowance will be occupied by SWMBOs shoes, so not a chance of smuggling a kit and equipment with me :-D .. but it's a NT Airfix, so how long could it possibly take? (Famous last words  )

Hi GF, no worries on my part about you doing an A-36, it was the same basic airframe with additions so still a P51 underneath :-D

Good to have you aboard!

Everyone else, time to make sure you have everything you need in stock and ready for the start!
Best wishes

Just a wee bump to remind everyone that we'll be corralling the Mustangs soon; 2nd July - 31st July to be precise :-D

All new participants welcome and we'll love to see you join up; the more the merrier! For all those who are already on-board, there's still time to get a second or even third reserve kit in the stash so you can keep the fun going all month if you want :-D

See ya soon Pardner  :-D
Best wishes

I'm hoping to build two for this - the old Airfix P-51B in RAF markings, and the new Airfix P-51D in Swiss markings.

Going to be out on our canal boat over the period of this build so I am going to have to select the minimum amount of modelling equipment to take with me! Can't not have a go at this as after blagging the Cuban decals.

I suspect I'll be going with the NT Airfix 51D. Not sure what markings though. I have loads to choose from
