Re: Fokker D.VII build?
Just happen to have the D.VII Mag weekend kit. It's boxed with a rather simple scheme and Russian stars; no lozenge to fear. So you can scribble my name down.

Re: Fokker D.VII build?
Whereas the Dual Combo one has loads of lozenge, all on decals. But there's at least two schemes without it, a Czech one in camo and a Romanian one in plain doped linen.

Don't fret too much about lozenge decals.
Toko Hansa Brandenberg W.34 using the kit lozenge decals. Fitting the floats was much trickier than doing the decals

He did in the movies!!Arcwelder wrote: Oh, heck yes. I was never one to let a little reality ruin my fun. Bring on the Biggles. I'm contemplating a "Whif" of a von Richthofen D.VII (if he had lived to get his hands on one in the field)

If a 1/48th kit can be had for reasonable pennies, I'm in. I need one to go with my 1/48th SE.5a.

Re: Fokker D.VII build?
Funnily enough, a C.I was used in the film Hell's Angels as well!
Here's another shot of that Richthofen D.VII from the same film:
(The arrows are pointing to a modified TravelAir aircraft - the famed "Wichita Fokker")

Re: Fokker D.VII build?
Lots of interest here.... and for those that fear the Lozenge, the D VII was used by many, many operators. Blue Rider do a sheet for "International Fokker D.VII" in 1/72 and 1/48, many of which do not require lozenges at all... and there are some very cool Belgian, Swiss, Polish and Russian schemes there..
Is this your sanderling?.

Have we enough interest yet to hold a poll for a date?
