Unless something wild happens in the next two weeks, I'll join the party.

Just a quick question about the rules of engagement: I have this rather silly kitbashing idea lined up based on the MB Tornado F3. Mutilations won't go beyond the point where the Tonka can't be recognised anymore, but it will be "different" Would that still qualify?

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

I'll be adding about a dozen parts, and possibly modifying three kit parts. That should keep me well within these limits.

A Buccaneer will be getting a rather more respectful treatment.

A swing wing Buccaneer would be a fun Whiff :-D
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Tempting, but no. The Buccaneer will be strictly OOB.
If I were ever bonkers enough to try something like that, I'd hack a Phantom. The factory had just such a converion on the drawing board at some point, so I could argue it belongs in my Phantom collection. However, not today..

The gallery should indeed be very impressive. I have at least two planned, as mentioned above.

It will indeed be some gallery
I hope to get at least two built
A Hawker Tempest and a Percival Provost

Nice thing I find with Matchbox kits, even the Revell re-issues, they fit together so easily and quickly.
They're suitable for the Blitzbau too which runs concurrently, as does the Mitsubishi Zero GB.

I think we're all starting with fresh kits but just in case anyone has a part started one they want to finish - I'll allow a few of these as long as just a tiny wee bit has been started; each to be judged on its own merit.

I will be focused on one, with a 2nd waiting in the wings.

I really wanted to do one of their 700 scale ships, but I cannot use any for SMW and one I want to tart up a bit.

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.
