Classic Matchbox kits *** Complete/Archived ***

Post by fredk »

For late this year, or early next year, I propose a re-visit to the classic Matchbox kits.
We did the Ted Taylor Tribute Matchbox II GB back during August thru September 2013
Thats 3 years ago.
I reckon that is a sufficient time gap and as Matchbox kits are ever popular they can be re-visited.
They very often turn up to be built in many of the other GBs.

There were about 50 builds in the TTT MB GB so I reckon on about 16 builders doing about 2 kits each,

When: Wednesday February 1st thru Saturday 4th March

Kits allowed; Any Matchbox kit, car/motorcycle, aeroplane, AFV/soft skin, ship
In any boxing: Matchbox or Revell re-issues, as long as the tooling was original Matchbox.
But not other tooling in Matchbox boxes.

Now up to 32 names!

Matchboxteers;
1. fredk
2. iggie
3. MarkyM607
4. dwomby

As long as it's next year sometime I'm in, I have one or two Matchbox kits and Revell re-issues around.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Yes. Count me in. I was weaned on Matchbox kits so I will check the stash for options & if I have nothing suitable I will buy something.
Matchbox as a brand need to be represented on forums like ours so that younger builders know what they are missing.

If it is next year, I am sure I can join in. I am far too busy to commit to any further GB's this year.

Haven't made a MB kit for a while so this is a good excuse to do one. I'm in.
