Cargo Haulers GB (Round 2) *** Complete/Archived ***

Post by Old_Tonto »

Wow, July came around real quick so it's time to revisit this one before the calendar for next year fills up. IIRC we have never had a Cargo or transport based group build before so I think this would be a good one to do.

A reminder of the group build idea:
6 week build time scale. Any scale. Land, sea or air vehicles as long as it moves cargo (people are self loading cargo).
So Ships, planes, Helicopters, trucks etc.
GB Leader will be Old_Tonto.

I voted mid-Jan -> end-Feb.
I have two projects and the Matchbox GB all falling in the 1st quarter, now this; could be dicey.

I voted Jan to mid Feb as that is school hols and always the best option for me. Start and end of school term is strongly linked to DNFs in my case... :(

I picked January to mid Feb.. just because it's a bit quieter at work and the weather is warmer :) but happy to follow the majority.

Looks like February to end of March is the majority favorite. I will have Jratz pencil this in just as soon as I figure out how to close the poll. :???:

Hi OT. You can add me to the list. I have quite a few that fit the bill here including aircraft and trucks. If I'm feeling brave I may do one of each.

All the best.

My local model club had the annual kit auction yesteday with the result that I now have a group build entry firmed up:

Got it for about a third of the retail price in a store. None of the sprue bags opened. Score!

I'm not normally into modern (post WW2 :ha: ) aircraft but I really dig the look of this thing. A true brick with wings.
