Messerschmitt 109 STGB *** Complete/Archived ***

Post by Gadfly »

Hi,

2017 sees the 80th anniversary of the Me-109 entering service with the Luftwaffe in February 1937 as I understand it.

The 109 is an important type being one of the worlds most widely produced aircraft.

As such I propose we have a STGB for the Ausberg Eagle and aim to build as many variants as possible of the type.

There has been a relatively recent 109 STGB in 2014 so we may want to consider that.

Would post-war production by Hispano and Avia be allowed or would this be limited to German manufacture?

I think any version of 109 or any type based on the 109's Airframe. Any period any scheme.

Yes I noted that in my OP. But if this runs in 2017 that will be 3 years prior. Plus the GB 'celebrates' The types entry to Service. That's a reasonably important milestone.

I agree that the 80th anniversary is worthy of commemoration, subject to personal commitments next year count me in
Best wishes

I've got both the Academy and Hobbycraft Buchons stashed away, and a Pegasus Buchon.

There's also the Matchbox '109, and TWO Bf109T kits that were given to me recently!

There again, I fancy a 1/32 '109 at some point, too. Haven't got one stashed away, mind you....
