If you can't find an elephant, Mark, I've got a camel in 1/35 that I've been saving for something very special, like the CD GB or indeed the Camel build next year. I was thinking about a night fighter version, you know, moving the hump back a bit and fitting twin Lewis guns to its head.........MarkyM607 wrote:What about an Elephant?. There was definitely and elephant or three in the second one!!
Will do! (You'll have to put radar antennae on it's nose if it's a night fighter version!!).Kevan Bailey wrote:If you can't find an elephant, Mark, I've got a camel in 1/35 that I've been saving for something very special, like the CD GB or indeed the Camel build next year. Elephants are Elephants.....so no mocking up Bears, Sheep or other four legged beasts and trying to pass them off d'ye hear?MarkyM607 wrote:Two questions:-iggie wrote:As far as authenticity is concerned, whatever your choice of build is needs to look like the original without every rivet being correct...especially as most of the possible subjects were either changed for the film in the first place, or masquerading as something different altogether!
1. Were the Elephants changed at all for filming?, (they weren't bears masquerading as Elephants),
and
2. How many rivets on an Elephant?.

As far as rivets are concerned, I'll hold his trunk while you go and look.....
