If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

If you can't find an elephant, Mark, I've got a camel in 1/35 that I've been saving for something very special, like the CD GB or indeed the Camel build next year. I was thinking about a night fighter version, you know, moving the hump back a bit and fitting twin Lewis guns to its head.........

Make me an offer if you get desperate.

Will do! (You'll have to put radar antennae on it's nose if it's a night fighter version!!).

OK, if this is a go-er, put me down for Mutt's Harley. Aoshima seem to do a suitable one as a basis for the film version, but it looks horrible as it's a modern bike; the old Italieri WLA would be a much nicer proposition. How authentic are we going on this?

As far as authenticity is concerned, whatever your choice of build is needs to look like the original without every rivet being correct...especially as most of the possible subjects were either changed for the film in the first place, or masquerading as something different altogether!
Best wishes

Two questions:-
1. Were the Elephants changed at all for filming?, (they weren't bears masquerading as Elephants),
and
2. How many rivets on an Elephant?.

Oooh, I might be up for this one!

I happen to have a Stampe in the stash, but the Pilatus P-2 has always been a favourite of mine - and I managed to get a sit in BOTH of the planes from Last Crusade! :-D
