I don't quite understand what you are saying here? Is this a block on people who are active in the SIG areas participating in GB's or some form of let-off card or whatjRatz wrote: I am thinking of putting a "SMW Build Fever" bar on the calendar, say May-Oct, to everyone that workbenches are overflowing.

chris, fred,
Sorry, it seemed clear to me last night. No, just view it as a reminder that members who are also in SIGs get busy. Here is a sample.

No, we do not want to make SIG work into formal GBs. While UAMF hosts the SIGs, UAMF is not solely the SIGs.
The SIGs need to do their thing as they wish to.
It is my personal preference that SIG members build entries out in the open general UAMF community -- Workbench, Modelling, even in a related GB/SB (such as RN, Matchbox) -- but they are also allowed to build within their SIG, even locked away, if it is a "secret" project. I also do not want the GB proposals/schedule to be too loaded to SIG needs, that will turn away many non-SIG members.
I was simply trying to alert people that the Telford Builds, even for SIGs not hosted here, do have an impact on GB scheduling, participation, and completions.

We already have a Matchbox GB on the calendar that also serves to boost potential participation at Telford - while not potentially alienating non-SIG members, something we should try to avoid doing.
We could also look at scheduling GBs over the summer periods that incorporate themes sympathetic to the Telford themes even if not directly related. For example, we ran a ship GB earlier this year - while not a CBK SIG-exclusive theme, it was certainly very relevant to the Royal Navy theme and added a couple of display models for the tables.
And I do keep an eye out for GBs throughout the year during which I can build something for Telford, something everyone can easily do.

If a yellow bar on an XL spreadsheet boosts GB participation I'm all for it..

Like Paul, I keep an eye out for SIG sympathetic GBs and I'm, naturally, in favour of a SIG/SMW indicator.

I understand where you are coming from now John. That indicator seems sensible,
