'Cranberry Sauce' a propose and go ** Shared Build open **

Post by Gadfly »

As the Festive season is around the Corner. I'm proposing an unconventional Group Build over the Festive months of December and January..

The subject of the Group Build is the Canberra Bomber affectionately know as the Cranberry which of course has Festive connotations. Any kit any scheme any scale. it just has to be a Canberra or B57.

For this propose and go Group Build you just start building and aim to finish on the 31st of January.

Post up below if anyone is interested in taking part. Build one out of the Stash or ask Santa for one.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

This sort of thing is what Shared Builds are for and can be done over there..

The "Propose & Go" are Group Builds that are organized and executed quickly.

Does it actually matter where it's posted?? Surely the important thing is getting an idea out there and participation (or not) occurring.

If it 'matters' then I'll rename it a propose and go GB and hey presto we're in the right spot..

It matters because we have a venue called Shared Builds -- check it out.

If you want to do it here, then assemble the required number of players and I will set it up.

The problem with Shared builds is that the last and only post in there is 2013. Effectively it's a forum backwater. It just doesn't get used.

If you want something to get some forum traffic (views) and get some momentum behind something then you have to go where people are naturally looking. Thats marketing 101.

Why not just set us up a Propose and go thread for the Cranberry Sauce BB / GB dec to Jan 2017 and the forum members decide if they want to participate or not.

I'll give it a go. I've got an Airfix B2 on my "next build" shelf as it ties in with our SMW theme in the Cold War SIG. When you guys decide where it's going to be I'll join in.

Thanks for the Support....

I've renamed it a 'Group Build' thus clarifying where it can reside. So there are Three of us so far.

Anyone else want to 'pass the Cranberry Sauce' and build any Canberra variant in any scale in any scheme.
To Celebrate the Festive season
The GB runs until the end of January so plenty of time to build something..

I have an old Airfix B-57 I can do. Had one of these build about twenty years ago but it went on a first fligh from the top of a cupboard to the floor and promptly got stepped on. Not sure who by....
Would be nice to re-do this.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Craig,

By saying you'll build it now the GB is more likely to get the thumbs up... I'll add you to the list.

The Xtrakit PR9 will be interesting to see get built.

Cheers

If we don't get any more then I'd like to propose that we move it to the SB section and go ahead.
